Bis(2,2'-bipyridine-²N,N')bis(dicyanamido-N¹)cadmium

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cd(C₂N₃)₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂], the Cd^II ion is coordinated in a distorted octahedral environment by four N atoms from two chelating 2,2'-bipyridine ligands and two N atoms from two monodentate dicyanamide ligands. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the two bipyridine ligands is 87.67 (6)°.
