(E)-N'-(4-Chlorobenzylidene)-2-methoxybenzohydrazide

Abstract: In the title hydrazone derivative, C₁₅H₁₃ClN₂O₂, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 2.36 (2)°. An intramolecular N-HO hydrogen bond is present. In the crystal, N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains running parallel to the b axis.
