Abstract: In the title compound, C17H16Br2N2O2, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 57.7 (3)°. The conformation of the central N-C-C-C-N chain is gauche-anti [torsion angles = -64.2 (4) and -167.8 (4)°]. Two intramolecular O-HN hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, molecules are linked by pairs of C-HO hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers.
