Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C19H19NOS, contains two independent molecules (A and B), in both of which the 1,3-thiazepan-4-one ring adopts a chair-type conformation. The dihedral angles between the two phenyl rings are 65.28 (8) and 60.31 (9)° for molecules A and B, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C-HO interactions, resulting in a three-dimensional network.
