Happy New Year! This is our ninth January issue and, as usual, its cover image is a collection of crystals taken from Acta Cryst. F articles published in the year just passed. We feel that this appropriately highlights our continuing commitment to the scientists who work on crystallization of macromolecules.

We would also like to let you know that a completely new version of publBio has recently been introduced.
