Figure 8 X and Y rotor components for polyhedra in a fitted configuration at 1073  K, relative to their orientations in the ideal phase. The distribution of orientations has become isotropic about zero and is very broad, indicating the large amplitude of rigid-unit motion of the polyhedra. There is no evidence for the formation of domains of the phase.
