J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 1-5 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500015843 ] Multiple-beam X-ray interferometry for phase-contrast microtomographyU. Bonse and F. BeckmannSynopsis: An X-ray interferometer is for the first time operated in non-planar three-beam diffraction mode. In addition to the novelty as such, its ability to quadruple the useful sample volume in phase-contrast microtomography is demonstrated. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 6-9 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500018033 ] Piezo-QEXAFS with fluorescence detection: fast time-resolved investigations of dilute specimensD. Lützenkirchen-Hecht, S. Grundmann and R. FrahmSynopsis: Fluorescence detection was added to the piezo-QEXAFS technique enabling the detection of XANES data from dilute specimens in about 50 ms. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 10-17 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500018677 ] High-pressure single-crystal X-ray diffraction facilities on station 9.8 at the SRS Daresbury Laboratory - hydrogen location in the high-pressure structure of ethanolD. R. Allan, S. Parsons and S. J. TeatSynopsis: A new high-pressure single-crystal diffraction facility constructed on station 9.8 at the Synchrotron Radiation Source, Daresbury Laboratory, is described. Initial results on the low-melting-point compound ethanol are presented; diffraction data were of sufficient quality to enable H-atoms to be located. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 18-21 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500014515 ] Fixed-height exit bender of synchrotron X-rays above 40 keVY. Yoneda, N. Matsumoto, Y. Furukawa and T. IshikawaSynopsis: A crystal bender for sagittal focusing has been designed for standard monochromators at SPring-8. The bender does not move the position of the crystal center when the bending radius is changed. Sagittal focusing from 40 keV to 60 keV was achieved by using Si(311) double crystals. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 22-25 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500013868 ] Performance limits of indirectly cryogenically cooled silicon monochromators - experimental results at the APSW.-K. Lee, K. Fezzaa, P. Fernandez, G. Tajiri and D. M. MillsSynopsis: The results of high-heat-load tests of indirectly cryogenically cooled silicon monochromators are presented. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 26-32 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500018197 ] A new X-ray spectrometer for high-resolution Compton profile measurements at SPring-8N. Hiraoka, M. Itou, T. Ohata, M. Mizumaki, Y. Sakurai and N. SakaiSynopsis: A new Cauchois-type high-resolution Compton spectrometer is described. The spectrometer is capable of measuring Compton profiles of heavy-element materials with a momentum resolution of 0.10 atomic units. Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 33-37 [ doi:10.1107/S0909049500019567 ] X-ray double phase retarders to compensate for off-axis aberrationK. Okitsu, Y. Ueji, K. Sato and Y. AmemiyaSynopsis: An X-ray double phase retarder system composed of two transmission-type phase retarders is proposed and developed in order to compensate for off-axis aberration (phase-shift inhomogeneity due to angular divergence of incident X-rays). Online January 2001 |
J. Synchrotron Rad. (2001). 8, 38 [ doi:10.1107/S090904950001997X ] Synchrotron Radiation (Production and Properties)Online January 2001 |
