EY- (solid line) and FY-XAS (dashed line) of 2 mm-thick α-Al2O3 obtained in the Al K-edge region. Both spectra were obtained under normal ambient-pressure conditions (1 atm helium path), and were obtained by simultaneous measurements. The spectra were subjected to background subtraction and then normalized by the edge-jump height.
