Two chains of interconnected LiO4 tetrahedra in the ac plane in lithium bromoacetate, together with the remainder of the molecules. Li atoms are located in the centers of edge-sharing LiO4 tetrahedra that form layers in the bc plane. The halogen atoms of two adjacent layers are oriented towards each other (same perspective as in Fig. 5[link]).
