Dimers formed by hydroxyamide groups: (a) typical amide dimer [pattern designator R22(8)] with N—Hcis as a donor to the carbonyl oxygen, accompanied by two S(5) motifs (HOM1); (b) α-hydroxyamide dimer [pattern designator R22(10)] with N—Htrans as a donor to the proximal hydroxyl (HOM1, left and HN12, right). Note the close topological similarity of the two molecules and of the dimer formed; (c) β-hydroxycarbonyl dimer [pattern designator R22(12)] with the distal OH group as a donor to the amide carbonyl oxygen (HN12).
