) view of the product molecule (empty bonds) superimposed on the reactant molecule (filled bonds) for (a) the beginning stage of the photoreaction (4.4% of the product in a crystal) and (b) one of the final stages (94.5% of the product). H atoms were omitted for clarity. The projection of the molecules is on the same plane for both (a) and (b) parts of the figure. As can be seen, it was possible to separate all atoms of the reactant and product molecules. This was also possible for other reaction stages.
