Selected part of the powder neutron diffraction pattern obtained from FeF3 at 8.28 GPa. The crosses and the solid line represent the measured and calculated patterns, respectively. The lower curve shows the difference between observed and calculated intensities. From bottom to top, the vertical tick marks shown represent the Bragg reflection positions for FeF3, WC and Ni, respectively. The weak contributions to the pattern from WC and Ni arise from the anvils of the pressure cell.
