The [VLi] skeleton in Li6[LiV]N4 similar to both the Al(Ψ-Si)-array in Li3AlN2 and the structure of γ-Si, represented in Fig. 1[link]. Li and V atoms are ordered occupying different positions of the 8c site in the space group [Pa\bar 3]. Each atom connects to four unlike atoms. One of these bonds has been omitted to show the two interpenetrating three-connected subsets.
