DSC analysis of etiracetam hydrate. DSC analysis is performed under continuous nitrogen flow, heating the sample at 5 K min−1 to 343 K (full line), after which an isothermal hold is introduced to allow removal of all water molecules. The sample is then heated up to 433 K at 5 K min−1 (dotted line). One clearly notices the endothermic dehydration signal (approximately at 313 K), and the single melting peak with an onset temperature of 392.3 K corresponding to the melting of FII. |
