Cronstedtite-1M, reciprocal lattice sections hhl, 0kl and [\bar hhl] (also monoclinic indexing). Similar to Fig. 1[link], the reciprocal unit-cell vectors, indices of reciprocal lattice rows and of some important reflections are indicated. Sections are rotated along c* by 60° and by 30 or 90° from sections in Fig. 1[link]. In this picture, every third reciprocal lattice row contains sharp subfamily reflections, while other rows contain diffusely streaked characteristic polytype reflections. Its distribution corresponds to the 1M polytype. Note that the hhl section is a mirror image of [\bar hhl], while the leftside of the 0kl section is a mirror image of its right side, because of the monoclinic symmetry of the polytype.
