Histogram of trans-Cl—Cu—Cl angles obtained from the CSD and shown from 109 to 180°. Conquest searching was restricted to four bonds to Cu, and one bond to each Cl, with any hits containing additional contacts to Cl, N or O atoms up to the sum of the van der Waals radii removed. Duplicate structure determinations of the same compound that did not provide substantial differences in trans angles were also excluded to ultimately yield a total of 305 structures from which the histogram plot was constructed.
