Computed three-dimensional hypersurface represented in two dimensions with a colour code for the relative energies of each conformation. The torsion angle localization of the experimental structures of trimethoprim alone (white circles), metallic complexes (black crosses), organic salts and cocrystals (black and red squares, respectively) and the new structure with hemifumarate from this work (white triangles) are also reported.
