Secondary structure of the T. reesei β-mannanase. As in the Therm. fusca mannanase, two short β-strands (sky blue) at the N-terminus form the bottom of the barrel. In addition to these, the fungal enzyme also contains a three-stranded and a two-stranded β-sheet (both in blue) that lie close to the C-terminus. The four N-glycosylation sites and the four disulfide bridges are also shown. This figure was generated using the program BOBSCRIPT (Kraulis, 1991BB24; Esnouf, 1997BB12)
