Isosurface representations of the cryo-EM maps of (a) the complex HRV2–MAb-8F5 and (b) the complex RHDV–MAb-E3. In both of these complexes the whole IgG has a bivalent attachment to the virion but the Fc fragment is not visible in the reconstructions. This is attributed to movement of the Fc fragment. Several individual Fab fragments are outlined in (a) and (b). The Fabs in (b) appear smaller because their occupancy is only about 50%. Both representations are viewed down the twofold axis and the icosahedral axes are marked 2, 3 and 5. |
