Flipped-out Tyr87C (red) inserted into the active site of molecule A (blue) in crystal form I. The green-coloured outlines show Tyr87C modelled in the usual conformation as seen in RNase Sa and in molecules A and B of Sa2. 2′-GMP was modelled into the active site of molecule A based on the structure of its complex with RNase Sa. The sulfate anion is located at the phosphate-binding site of molecule A. The figure was drawn using the program MolScript (Kraulis, 1991BB7).
