Heterooctamer predicted by PISA for PDB entry 1d3u . The complex dissociates into two identical heterotetramers forming the right-hand and left-hand parts of the octamer. It is the tetramers, rather than the octamer, that are identified as the biological units in this case (Littlefield et al., 1999  ). See discussion in the text.
