The active-site residues Cys354 and His336 are depicted as green sticks. The bulky hydrophobic residues of the lid (Tyr298, Tyr308 and Tyr318) and its surroundings (Tyr330, Phe334 and Trp340), shown as red and orange sticks, respectively, limit access to and contribute to the closure of the active site.
