(b) Optimization of a CODH crystal by laser regulation of crystal size. The same crystal and procedure as in (a) were used, except that the crystal size was fixed to the optimal state by laser irradiation. The humidity was then lowered and the laser power was regulated to zero for transfer of the crystal out of the laser cabinet for X-ray analysis. |
