(a) Superposition of ctPrp2 (blue) and scPrp43 (yellow), depicted here as ribbon models, reveals a high structural similarity, resulting in an r.m.s.d. of 1.3 Å for 573 common Cα atoms. (b) The most prominent difference is found at the N-termini of the proteins. The N-termini of ctPrp2 and scPrp43 are shown as cartoons, whereas the protein core of scPrp43 is shown as a surface (grey).
