(a) Stereographic projection of the self-rotation function calculated for hRab27aMut(GppNHp) crystals. The projections at κ = 180° and κ = 90° predict the presence of fourfold and twofold NCS axes (13 peaks on a slightly imperfect curved line in the plot, suggesting that the two pairs of tetramers are not exactly parallel) in the asymmetric unit. A full description of the labelled peaks is given in Table 3. (b) A slice of the Patterson map at u = 0 showing a strong off-origin peak at v = 0.022 and w = 0.500 with 45% of the height of the origin peak. This is a strong indicator of the presence of tNCS in the hRab27aMut(GppNHp) crystals. |
