(a) Estimation of the nucleation probability I(t). This is an example of a plot when the lysozyme concentration was 12 mg ml−1, in which case I(t) was estimated to be 0.029 ± 0.006 h−1. (b) Estimations of A2 and A3 from the experimental data. A2 was calculated as 8.47 ± 5.37 by equation (8)[link], using the vertical intercept of the straight line (Ysec), and A3 was estimated to be 1.49 ± 1.22 from the slope of this straight line.
