Single copies of the PKD2 and PKD1 domains of AAVR (pink backbone) are shown as they are bound in structures of the AAV2 (top) and AAV5 (bottom) complexes, respectively (Meyer et al., 2019  ; Silveria et al., 2020). The viral surfaces (cream) are viewed with a similar perspective as in Fig. 5.
