. The latch residues are shown as stick modes: Ser56 in hFABP1, Phe58 in hFABP3 and hFABP4, Leu60 in hFABP5, Phe58 in hFABP9, Phe58 in mFABP4 and Val60 in mFABP5. The latch and lid have the largest structural variations within the FABP isoforms.
