Cover illustration: This pentacyclo[5.4.0.0^2,6.0^3,10.0^5,9]undecane derivative was synthesized as a potential chiral catalyst. The pentacycloundecane cage exhibits a wide range of C-C bond lengths between 1.5144 (18) and 1.5856 (16) Å. The crystal structure involves C-HO hydrogen bonds and C-H [pi] interactions.
