metal-organic compounds
In the title compound, [Ni2(C2H3O2)4(C24H16N6)(H2O)2].CH2O, the coordination polyhedron of each NiII centre is a distorted octahedron formed by three N donors from a tetra(2-pyridyl)pyrazine molecule and an O donor of a water molecule in the equatorial positions, and by two O atoms from different acetate anions in the axial positions. The formaldehyde molecule is not coordinated; it is disordered over two sites related by a crystallographic twofold axis.
