The title compound, C₂₃H₂₄N₂O₂, is a product of photolysis of an unsymmetrical dibenzobarrelene diamide and has a dibenzosemibullvalene structure with normal molecular geometry and dimensions. Molecules are linked by one N—H

O hydrogen bond.
