In the structure of calcium 2-furancarboxylate, Ca2+.2(C5H3O3)−, three different coordination polyhedra were found around calcium. The polyhedra are linked forming a three-dimensional polymeric molecular framework. Both carboxylate-O atoms and furan-ring-O atoms coordinate to the calcium cations, with Ca
O distances in the range 2.291 (5)–3.114 (5) Å. There are six formula units in the asymmetric unit.
