The First Example of a Discrete Di(carboxylato)triorganostannate: Tetramethylammonium Triphenylbis(trifluoroacetato)stannate

Tetramethylammonium triphenylbis(trifluoroacetato-O)stannate crystallizes as non-interacting tetrahedral [(CH₃)₄N]⁺ cations and trans-trigonal bipyramidal [Sn(O₂CCF₃)₂(C₆H₅)₃]^- anions. The anion is the first example of a discrete triorganostannate covalently bonded to two unidentate monocarboxylato anions.
