The crystal structure of the title compound, C34H28O4, consists of discrete molecules held together by normal van der Waals interactions. The molecule possesses a crystallographic twofold axis passing through the midpoints of the two double bonds of the cyclohexadiene ring. The asymmetric C atoms in the dioxolane rings have an S,S configuration.
