The crystal structure of the title compound, 2C₆H₁₈N₂²⁺.P₄O₁₂^4-.4H₂O, can be described as typical [(C₆H₁₈N₂)₂P₄O₁₂]_n layers at y = 1/2, interconnected by water molecules via hydrogen bonding.
