metal-organic compounds
The crystal structure of bis(2-methyl-4-nitroanilinium) tetrachlorocadmate, (C7H9N2O2)2[CdCl4], has been determined by X-ray diffraction at room temperature. The crystal has a layered structure in which the organic bilayer is sandwiched between the inorganic sheets. The cadmium ion and chloride anions form distorted four-coordinate tetrahedra.
