(2R,3R,4S)-3-(tert-Butyldiphenylsiloxy)-4-hydroxy-3-methylhex-5-ene-1,2-diyl Diacetate

The crystal structure and absolute configuration of the title compound, C₂₇H₃₆O₆Si, have been determined. The molecules are linked through hydrogen bonds between the hydroxy and acetoxy groups. The dihedral angle between the planes of the phenyl rings is 55.4 (1)°.
