The crystal structure of bis(acetato-O,O')bis(2-amino-1,5-dihydro-1-methyl-4H-imadazol-4-oneN³)cadmium(II) hemihydrate, [Cd(CH₃CO₂)₂(creat)₂].0.5H₂O, shows the coordination geometry around the Cd atom to be distorted octahedral involving two monodentate heterocyclic N-bound creatinine molecules and two O,Obidentate acetate groups.
