Three-dimensional tetrahedral fractal representation of multiply twinned crystals () inherited from the same primary crystal (in green), viewed (a) in the [111] direction and (b) in the [] direction of (the two directions are not equivalent because a tetrahedron is not centrosymmetric). This fractal is built from twinned tetrahedra reduced in size by a factor of two at each generation and lying in the centres of the faces of the tetrahedra of the preceding generation.
