(a) Selected-area electron diffraction (SAED), (b) CBED and (c) a montage of 17 D-LACBED patterns taken from [[1{\overline 1}0]] GaAs; the patterns are arranged in positions corresponding to the CBED pattern. The diffraction vector g is indicated for each pattern and the (110) mirror plane is indicated by the letter m; no horizontal mirror is present. The whole-pattern symmetry is m and the projection diffraction group is m1R.
