(a) The integrated intensity for the measured reflections (grey central bars) displayed as a bar graph for an Si sample (Si crystallites immersed in a resin that occupy 50% of the volume), compared with the new theory (magenta right-hand bars, including dynamical effects, large diamonds for B = 0.02 Å−2, small diamonds for B = 0.046 Å−2). The red left-hand bars give the intensities based purely on the kinematical model. The experimental data were captured as described in the caption to Fig. 2. (b) includes the data illustrated in Fig. 2 and Fig. 19(a), but normalized to the mean intensity to illustrate the systematic trends in the intensities from the new and conventional models.
