For each 2θ profile, except at the Bragg condition, there are two peaks in the intensity, at the specular condition when 2θ = 2Ω and when 2θ = 2θBragg. The value of the intensity at the specular peak is given by |A2θ|2. The accumulation of a large number of orientations will add intensity to the tails and to the 2θBragg angle, the latter will create enhancement at the Bragg angle, without necessarily being in the Bragg condition. |
