Geometry for a single Bragg reflection by a crystalline block within a mosaic crystal shaped as a slab of thickness d. While the incoming wavevector [{\bf k}] is chosen to lie in the xz plane, the block orientation [{\hat {\bf u}}] and the outgoing wavevector [{\bf k}'] may also have y components. The angle [\theta'] is not in the drawing plane unless [{\bf k}'] is.
