The four Voronoi cells in $[E_\perp]$ defining the atomic surfaces for the orthorhombic phase of NiZr are aligned along the $[y_\perp]$ direction. This very unusual situation suggests generating the structure using the hexagonal tile based on the three translations t₁ = w₃-w₁ = $[(0,{\overline 1},0,1,0)]$ , t₂ = w₄-w₁ = $[(0,{\overline 1},0,0,1)]$ and t₃ = w₄-w₂ = $[(0,0,{\overline 1},0,1)]$ , all three relating a Zr atom to another Zr atom.
