The simplest [{\bb Z}]-module translation defect model consists of introducing a thin slab of twinned hexagons (noted II) along a [({\overline 1},1,0)] plane. This generates an elementary translation between the upper and lower parts of crystal I of T = [(1,{\overline 2},1,0,0)] (see the fine dotted arrows) corresponding to t = [(2-\tau)/2[{\overline 1},1,0]] in the Cmcm unit cell.
