Scattering geometries of a GIXD and a LEED experiment with k0 and k as the wavevector of the primary and scattered radiation, respectively. In GIXD the complete scattering vector q is obtained experimentally, which can be split into an in-plane part qxy and an out-of-plane part qz. In LEED only qxy can be determined. The investigated reciprocal lattices are plotted in red: discrete reciprocal-lattice points in the case of GIXD and Bragg rods in the case of LEED. |
