(b) Shape of the scattering amplitude for normalized radius. The green curves correspond to ka = 3 and potential's strength np = 1.1. The blue curves correspond to ka = 10, np = 1.02 which is one of the carbon shells. Dashed lines show the Born approximation and dashed–dotted lines show the phase grating approximation used in MS. The Born approximation is very good for the carbon data point used.
