Packing diagram of (2). Perchlorates and H atoms are omitted for clarity. The inter-cation hydrogen bonds are: N1⋯O2* [d(D⋯A) 2.923 (5) Å, ∠(DHA) 127.3°] and N4⋯O2* [d(D⋯A) 2.901 (5) Å, ∠(DHA) 167.6°]. O2* is related to O2 by the symmetry operation $[-x-1,y+{1\over 2},-z-2]$ .
