The ternary system H2O–CO2–NH3. With the exception of crystalline end members (e.g. water ice, dry ice), the compositions of compounds with known crystal structures are marked with filled circles; the only compound with an as-yet undetermined structure is the title compound, ammonium carbonate monohydrate (marked with an open circle). Numbers indicate the following phases: (1) ammonia dihydrate; (2) ammonia monohydrate; (3) ammonia hemihydrate; (4) ammonium carbamate (α and β polymorphs); (5) urea; (6) CO2 clathrate hydrate; (7) solid carbonic acid (α and β polymorphs); (8) ammonium carbonate monohydrate; (9) ammonium sesquicarbonate monohydrate; (10) ammonium bicarbonate. |
