A view illustrating the interactions between the second crystallographically independent iodo­nium ion and the nearby tri­fluoro­methane­sulfonate ions in (III[link]), and the cyclic unit thereby formed. Double-primed atoms are related to unprimed atoms via the crystallographic inversion center (0,[{1 \over 2}],0). Note that there are no interactions between this iodo­nium ion and the tri­fluoro­methane­sulfonate counter-ions associated with the iodo­nium ion shown in Fig. 4[link]. Displacement ellipsoids are drawn at the 30% probability level and H atoms are shown as small spheres of arbitrary radii. The di­chloro­methane solvate has been omitted for clarity.
